Got the MPC back from Forat

He got the buttons working again. I slapped my last internal zip 100 in it today. I ran the stereo outs through the Auteur Pre. I forgot how great that combo was. I'm waiting for tact switches, backlight and DAC for channel 4.

S950 Hxc install

S950 display and Hxc mounted...

Mounted the Hxc display and put the front cover on. Next step, mount front panel buttons for Hxc control.

S950 blue display

Just received the wire headers for the display so I slapped it in. Looks a lot better than the factory display. No more backlight inverters. Next will be mounting the floppy emulator once the wire and headers get here for that.

Latest project

Hxc floppy emulator for the S950. Changed R18 on lower board to 2.2k. Swapped out power supply with known good one from S900.

Well its time I started a blog on my various audio projects. The first project is one that I started almost 7 years ago...the Akai S950.
